General Mandate and Primary Function


- To ensure peace and order by making certain that all local and international laws, declaration and ordinances relative to the protection of lives and properties are enforced.

- To investigate and prevent crimes especially those involving foreign nationals;

- To exercise the general powers to make arrest, searches and seizures in accordance with the Constitution and other pertinent local and international law and detaining arrested persons for a period not beyond what is prescribed by law, informing persons so detained of all his/her rights under Constitution.

- To bring such criminal offenders to justice and assist in their prosecutions;

- To assist, escort and provide security to both local and foreign dignitaries and citizens both here and abroad;

- To assist the government in humanitarian, socio-civic and peacekeeping operations;

- To be a catalyst for social development through socio-civic and economic development programs and projects;

- to develop friendly relations among nations;

- to cooperate in solving international problems and in promoting respect for human rights;

- And to be a centre for harmonizing the actions of nations.

Primary Function

To guarantee the availability of specializes services for global destinations such as, but not limited to, sharing of valuable data and information, fostering international cooperation for joint operations and monitoring international developments that may lead to future needs.
